Curled up in front of the roaring log fire, it’s the perfect cosy retreat
One of two dog friendly cottages on the estate, Keeper’s Cottage in Argyll is A listed with period features galore and sleeps 4 people in a double and twin room.
Keeper’s Cottage is one of four mirror-image cottages set in a row alongside the coastal road. Retaining many of the original features, including a lovely wooden verandah and porch, wood panelling, coomed ceilings and original windows, this gorgeous cottage certainly has the WOW factor!
Fantastically warm and welcoming, there is a superb real log fire in the lounge, great for warming up after a brisk winter walk along the beach. The spacious dog friendly holiday home is furnished with antique or cottage-y pieces, but has recently benefitted from a new kitchen and refurbishment throughout.
Keeper’s enjoys superb views to the front over the coastal plain to the sea and islands beyond. To the rear, there is a small woodland copse with the Scotland forestry commission track running behind which takes you right up into the Argyll hills, which is in fact part of the Kintyre way walking route.
Please note that the cottage garden areas are not completely fenced in so you will need to bring a tether/rope etc for a dog to prevent escape when unattended.
