Typical of a small village in Scotland, the store provides the central hub for local life, and includes the post office, petrol station, off-license and a grocery store in one. The staff work hard to provide a good source of quality Argyll supplies as well as the friendly advice and ‘banter’ you would expect from such a bustling local amenity.
Elaine is the Post Office Mistress and deals with the day to day workings of this vital local service. Part of these responsibilities is to make sure the twice daily mail makes its way onto the ferry to Gigha.
Lee runs the shop, off-license and fuel side of operations and being a lively Scottish lassie, she provides the typical good craic with our visitors!
We stock fresh and frozen meats. Superb smoked fish freshly collected from the smoke house in Campbeltown is always popular. Locally made Argyll cheeses from Gigha and the Mull of Kintyre are also a speciality. We have a small supply of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as general grocery items and cleaning products, etc.
Elaine provides a postal and banking service, as well as stocking stationery and other similar items.
We stock a selection of local and imported wines, spirits and beers.
The serviced pumps provide unleaded petrol or diesel.
